KIDS FISHING DERBY
JUNE 15, 2024 (TENTATIVE)
Location: Letort Park, Carlisle, PA
(ON EAST POMFRET STREET)
Time: Sign in begins at 8:00 a.m., with fishing from 9:00 a.m. to noon
The 14th annual Kid’s Fishing Derby, sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299 will be held on a Saturday, June 14 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Letort Park in Carlisle, PA. The derby will be split into three age categories (2-5 yrs., 6-10 yrs., 11-15 yrs.) and all anglers from ages 2-15 are welcome. Adults will not be allowed to help children from ages 11-15.
Sign-in will be the day of the event from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Fishing will be from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Awards will be given to the three age categories and overall fish winner after derby at noon. There will be refreshments and prizes at noon. Come join the fun.
Registration is free.
All participants are reminded to bring your own poles, tackle and bait, as none will be provided. Event will be held rain or shine.

This year, we're thrilled to announce that Zoo America will be hosting a special program. To ensure you don't miss out on the festive fun, be sure to secure your tickets early, starting November 6th at the bar. Please note that tickets are limited, so we encourage you to register your children promptly. Remember, only two adults per child are permitted. Doors will swing open at 8:30 A.M., and we kindly request that there be no smoking throughout the entire building until after 1 PM on the day of the party. We're excited to announce our upcoming 118th Aerie Anniversary Party, tentatively scheduled for Sunday, January 26, 2025. As we celebrate 118 years of the Aerie, we invite Aerie members to join us for an exclusive Anniversary Stag Party. This indoor picnic event will feature a delightful spread of food and beverages from 11 AM to 3:15 PM. Please note that until 3:15 PM, the Aerie will be open exclusively to Aerie members.
